Cradle Mountain

A trip to Tasmania simply isn’t complete without a visit to this magical region. The scenery is breathtaking, natural wonder to behold, totally do-able treks to the tops of peaks and wombat wildlife spotting that gives genuine childlike delight.

We begin our trip in Hobart – as all good trips to Tassie begin – (link Hobart here) and hire our car to head out to Mt Field National Park (link here) once we have marvelled at the cascading waterfalls of this region we make our way on to the jewel in the crown – Cradle Mountain National Park.

We chose to stay at the LINK HERE – and we absolutely loved it. We had a beautiful spa to enjoy at the end of long hiking days and the friendliest of wildlife visited at night – think super cute possums that ate right out of our hands. Needless to say it was an idyllic spot to rest between adventures.

The National Park itself spans xxx and is famous for a few reasons, think wild Wombats literally everywhere, the incredible overland track, Dove Lake and the stunning Mountain Vistas.

A visit in xxx was perfect for us as we were seeking shoulder season – less crowds and cool but not freezing weather, snow dustings but comfortable for walking. Absolutely did not disappoint in any way.

A spa day at LINK was heavenly. Think private spa, massage, facial and fresh chocolate covered strawberries – pure indulgence and utterly divine.
